What up peeps? Man, it's been a long time..but fear not..i brings a fresh idea. I was thinking of skate teams competing in a game of skate on a black top basketball court. Each month would feature a new location. The teams represent their City, NOT shops or sponsors. For example, Pasadena vs Altadena, Eagle Rock vs Monrovia...Sounds tight right? Well, let's do it man!!! Bring skating back to its roots of just having fun and showing off what you got..All we need is for kids to start a team in their city.All ages are welcome but remember you're trying to win so you better be able to hold your own!!!.. Let me know what you all think...

I just wanted to drop a little note on a NEW book I bought a couple days ago.. The book is called Wall and Piece by Banksy. This book demonstrates the beauty of street and urban art using the streets as canvas. An Artist known for his stenciled artwork throughout all of England and most of the world, Banksy will blow you away with creativity. His artwork is inspiring and very original and will make you think for sure. If you got $20 bucks, go buy this book. With over 200 pages filled with gnarly art and interesting commentary, this book should be YOUR new favorite book..

Dude, I paddled out this a.m bout 9am and the water was so fricken cold!! I surfed on Sunday and it was colder but not like this. This fricken cold water made my balls turn into premature prunes. It's like " holy sh*t, it's August not November!". The tides they are a changing and we may get super cold this winter.. Get a good wettie some comfy booties and some BALLS, cause this winter is gonna be cold ....I can feel it. We gotta surf but might as well be as warm as we can while we charge it..Bien is planning a Beach Clean up In Newport in October..Anyone down to pick up trash??

Beach Clean Up location Changed !!!!

What up peeps? I was just informed by Heal the Bay that the location of the Beach Clean up has been changed from Manhattan Beach Pier to Santa Monica. The location is off of Ocean Park blvd right off PCH. There should be well over a 100 people there so stop by. Beach Clean ups are super important and very informative. BBQ still following the clean up... Take care my friends.

Bien Beach Clean up Day !

What's up everybody?
Our very first Beach Clean Up Day is coming up very soon. On August 18th from 10 am till 12pm, at Manhattan Beach Pier. Bien is teaming up with Heal the Bay, which is providing all the clean up equipment (gloves,trash bags etc),in hopes to create a sense of pride in how our beaches look. We are looking to teach activism and awareness to our local beach communities and provide them with solid and positive information. I am very excited to see how this event turns out and I have high hopes to host at least 4 beach clean ups a year ! If you have any questions please email me at Paul@itsallbien.com.

Bands You Should Know About

What's up everybody? Hope all is well in the land of confusion and misdirections. I have found some amazing bands in the last few years and established great friendships with each of these bands. The bands I am going list are all very different and ALL of them are insane musicians.

1. Lungbutter- Lungbutter is the first band ever to sign with Bien Records (my other Compay). These 3 cats set a vibe of mixed influences of Sublime and Elvis. A very good rhythm section and an outstanding guitar player and vocalist. This band will have you drunk by the end of their set and have you asking for more. www.lungbutter.com

2. The Atma- An amazing trio with an unreal vibe that will have you begging for another gig. A psychedelic melodic trip that will make you ask yourself " can this semi-unknown band really write this many bomb ass hits that so many cats have no idea about"? Ya dude these hard working cats are on the up and up for sure..www.theatma.com

3. Ninja Academy- This duo unleashes a fury of dynamic jazz influenced with heavy ... actually you know what? These cats re-write the definition of experimentation. First, these cats dress as freaking ninjas dude!!! Second, Indo ninja the bass player might possibly be the best bass player you've ever seen unless you've seen Les Claypool. Outdo, will make you rethink learning drums. Plain and simple, he can play beats that no matter how hard you practice, you'll never be able to play like he can.. Amazing.. www.ninjaacademy.com

For those of you who are unfamiliar with ASR let me help clarify. ASR stands for Action Sports Retailers. This is the premiere tradeshow for the Action Sports Industry that has buyers from all over the world. It's held biannually in San Diego's Convention Center. The tradeshow features the OG's (QuikSilver, Volcom) of the Action Sports Industry and all the up and coming companies (Bien) trying to carve a niche in the market. Well, Bien is going to ASR!! We got a booth space and we are looking to kill it.. The booth space number is #2309. Wish us luck and if you're in the area hit me up for some after party action..It's going to be a lot of work but with the help of our sales team and designers, we should be in a good position..

I am one who is into the very small and very detailed things in life. A fragrance, a sound, a random act of kindness and all other little delicate things that go unnoticed on a daily basis. For example, when you are with your girl or guy, enjoying eachothers company and embracing one another, there is someone outthere whose heart is ripped into pieces. In these moments, I think of those less fortunate and it makes me embrace that MOMENT even more. We will NEVER get back that moment back..EVER...Why not embrace the moment and get every thing you can out of it? Why be all bitter about life? Remember our lives are not our own, it involves everysingle person who loves and cares about You. Without them Life may not be worth it.. We owe those who love us alot more than to be self centered..Live selflessly and enjoy the many things that will mold you into who you are..

My name is Paul and I own Bien. I started this company about 2years ago in Duarte Ca (at my old pad). I came up with the idea of Bien with the help of the inspiration of my buds. My friends are a very rare breed of humans. Highly eduacted in school and street knowledge, avid surfers/skaters/snowboarders, heavily rooted in ALL music, gifted artists, film makers/animators and the most loyal suckas ever!!. My friends gave me the confidence to seek help in every area and to form a company that represents each and every area of the extreme sports industry. Thus, Bien was born !!! Bien is an apparel company with a sister company called Bien Records. We have successfully hosted many Music Events throughout Los Angeles,Orange and San Diego Counties. We have even hosted our own Skate competition!! Bien is proud of the progress it has made but not nearly satisfied. Stay tuned for more info and updates. NEW Catalog out soon!!!!!!
